Agile Delivery Manager

Our client, Legal & General Investment Management, are currently looking for an Agile Delivery Manager who will be responsible for the end to end technical delivery of projects to support LGIM’s business objectives.

Specific responsibilities include:

Day to day management of the technical delivery team.
The management of the product backlog.
Organisation and planning of the team.
Tracking & reporting of progress.
Accountability for the delivery of the end product.
Applying Agile delivery methods where appropriate including sprint and release planning.
Facilitating scrum ceremonies.
Process improvement & coaching of the team.
Taking ownership of the end to end technical delivery of projects also including resourcing planning and project budgeting.


Preferred but not essential: IMC qualification, other Scrum/ Agile certifications (e.g. product owner).
Knowledge of financial products and organisations.
Demonstrated ability to perform business requirement gathering and documentation (from high level to granular requirements).
Some knowledge of portfolio management & trading operating models.
Some knowledge of Investment functions for an Institutional Fund Management company.
Some knowledge of front to back Trade Lifecycle.
Experience within data related projects, front/back office and business operations and systems is highly desirable.
Sound knowledge & experience of Agile work management tooling e.g. Jira.
Expert in SDLC and iterative delivery through an agile framework.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Scrum master, facilitating ceremonies and coaching team(s).
Must have worked in the financial industry ideally in asset management.
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Experience of running retrospectives and implementing Continuous Improvement within a development team.
Must have a proven technical background (CI/CD, release management…).
Must have the ability to collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to ensure transparency and understanding of the requirements.
Demonstrated ability to improve velocity through continuous improvement.

Additional Information

Initially a temporary contract for 26 weeks, with a view to extend for the right candidate as project is due to last 2-3 years.
Day rate of up to £900 (dependent on experience, inside of IR35 and uplifted rate will apply if going via an Umbrella company).
Although the team is currently working remotely due to government guidance, in the longer term, this will be a hybrid position split between working both from home and the office; therefore, we are looking for someone who is happy to attend the L&G office in London
