This Mechanical and Electrical biased Asset Surveyor role can be based anywhere within the UK. You will be joining the asset survey programme running across the UK Home Office and MoJ estate. As the Asset Surveyor you will:
Predominantly work out in the field (within the UK, mainly England and Wales) surveying the clients estate (predominantly commercial type properties) whilst managing a program of both M&E and fabric Building Condition surveys
Identify and capture fabric condition of the building
Capture assets and their attributes and condition on handheld device
Provide advice to the client for renewal and replacement of building elements and systems
Attend project meetings and participate in working groups or departmental meetings as required
Be able to quickly and reasonably assess asset condition without intrusive or invasive inspections
Identify all critical plant equipment for running the site(s)
Update the Forward Works Co-Ordinator and Senior Surveyor with data to provide accurate and concise reports to the client The successful Asset Surveyor will have the following skills and experience:
A relevant bachelors degree in a Mechanical or Electrical subject field
A proven track record of experience undertaking asset building surveys and conditioning both on M&E as well as fabric
Previous surveying experience
Biased towards Mechanical and Electrical but with some building fabric knowledge
Understanding of the latest Building Condition techniques
Experience using a collection software platform such as Mobiess, Kykloud etc
Knowledge of CAFM Systems
