Personnel Selection are pleased to be recruiting for an Associate Editor for this well established company. The offices are based in Andover and although they are currently working remotely, they will be moving to a hybrid arrangement.
The role of Associate Editor will suit someone from a publishing background, who enjoys research, production and assisting the Editors. We’re keen to hear from Degree educated individuals, with strong communication skills, some exposure to the world of publishing and an interest in product research/history.
Duties for the role of Associate Ediotor will include
Working on product research, development, and production of digital collections of historical primary sources within the GPS programme
Supporting the GPS editorial team
Assisting with proposals for new products
Overseeing key tasks in the product development life cycle
The ideal person for the roole of Associate Editor is:
A strong sense of curiosity and openness to learning about topics in a variety of academic areas, with a particularly strong emphasis on history.
Flexible approach to tasks and a can do attitude, along with a willingness to learn new skills and improve current ones.
Keen attention to detail and follow-through.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong numeracy skills and financial literacy.
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good PC skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work calmly in a sometimes high-pressure environment.
Team player suited to a team-orientated and collaborative environment, where knowledge is shared actively.
