We want to hear from proven Business Development hunters with key contacts at major retailers and independents and the ability to generate profitable long term relationships. What this role can offer you:

* A competitive and negotiable basic salary DOE (approx £35 – £75k)
* An uncapped and lucrative commission structure based on turnover (Approx £80k+)
* Expenses paid – mileage, phone bill etc
* Contract flexibility – we are also open to discussing this role with candidates looking for a consultancy role or a fixed term assignment

Duties of the role:

* Devising an effective strategy to identify and target prospective clients across the health and wellness sector and including all the major retailers (Lloyds, Boots, Holland & Barrett)
* Developing growth strategies and plans
* Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
* Increasing client base through proactive business development methods and techniques
* Following up on client leads
* Selling products and services in person and over the phone
* Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
* Writing business proposals
* Negotiating with stakeholders
* Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
* Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
* Following industry trends locally and internationally
* Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
* Planning and preparing presentations
* Communicating new product developments to prospective clients and existing clients
* Overseeing the development of marketing literature
* Providing management with feedback
* Raising the company profile by attending expositions and seminars

Person Specification:

* Proven track record in a similar Business Development role
* Connections and a network across the health, wellness or pharmaceutical sector is critical
* Proven Account Management experience
* High level of commercial acumen
* Strong relationship management skills
* Team player
* Openness and honesty
* Self-motivated
