Job Introduction
Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, the Data Design Analyst will be a key member of Reach’s growing data team and will help shape and set the direction of a brand new function. You will help us design and build data design assets and artefacts that will help us manage our data in a safe and secure way. You will be working in a team with Data Governance and Data Quality Analyst to help roll out a successful Data Management framework across Reach’s growing digital products.

This role can be 100% remote (UK & Ireland).

Key Responsibilities

  • You’ll work closely with stakeholders in various functions to develop and maintain data design assets such as data-flows, dictionaries or data catalogues, etc
  • You’ll actively analyse data design assets to assess the structure and content to support design activities and identify risks and issues
  • Working closely with the Data Governance Manager, Data Architect and data ingestion team, you’ll support the design of data processing throughout the data lifecycle, from data acquisition through to destruction
  • Supporting the Data Quality team, you’ll help identify and build data standards to manage our high value data sets
  • To support the successful rollout of some of our key data governance initiatives, you will help identify and document our key data domains and data assets

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in Data Management (ideally including roles in media companies or technology companies)
  • Demonstrable experience of creating data flows, creating a data dictionary and understanding source-target mapping for data will be key for the success of the role.
  • Experience developing and deploying code to support data design (e.g. ideally SQL)
  • Experience in creating conceptual, logical and dimensional models in desirable
  • Experience of working in an agile and dynamic environment
  • An understanding of Data Governance and Data Protection principles and practices
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at levels
  • Atalent for building positive relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Someone who understands the business value of data
