DEPUTY PARCELS/SORTATION SUPERVISOR

Menzies Distribution are looking for a Deputy Parcels/Sortation Supervisor to join our team. You’ll be working on behalf of Menzies Distribution Limited and its customers. Providing a first-class service with our team in Coventry, this role is based on a basic 40-hour week working Monday to Friday (Apply online only) hours.

DEPUTY PARCELS/SORTATION SUPERVISOR DUTIES

Assist the management to manage and motivate the team to meet customer timescales and improved productivity
Liaise with our customers to ensure their expectations are met and we deliver a service to the highest standard
Work with the team to provide support on identified issues, escalating to the Senior Supervisor where required
Provide guidance to Warehouse Operatives on general day to day operational queries as they arise
Ensure team productivity targets are achieved
Provide ‘Hand Over’ Report to oncoming shift
Provide training to all team members to ensure they are able to undertake their duties effectively, efficiently and safely
Ensure all relevant paperwork for sickness absence is managed accordingly
Ensure any employee relations issues are managed and dealt with, with the support of HR
Ensure all team members have completed the necessary Health & Safety training
Carry out security spot checks on a daily basis in line with Company policy

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience within a Parcels Distribution or Logistics Supervisory position
A proven track record of effective people management
Experienced approach to prioritisation of daily tasks
A common-sense approach to problem-solving
Ability to prioritise and manage tasks in a pressurised environment
Comfortable working to strict deadlines
Great communication skills
Computer literate with basic Microsoft knowledge
