An exciting new role has arisen of Digital Publishing Manager, for a creative publishing professional with a particular interest in digital content. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative, digitally focused educational publishing company in a permanent, full-time role. Initially based at home during the Covid-19 pandemic, and moving back to the office in central London when restrictions allow, the role allows for hybrid working (min. 3 days per week in London office). The Digital Publishing Manager, reporting to the Content Director, will have a varied and pivotal role where your main remit will be to create, commission and edit educational content across a range of specialist subjects beyond the core curriculum. You will be key in helping the company to continue to build successful products that support primary school teachers through providing curated lessons plans, demo videos and other resources. Under the guidance of the Content Director, your responsibilities as Digital Publishing Manager will include (amongst others):

ensuring the quality of all new content published, making sure that it is editorially top notch and appropriate for the audience.
working alongside in house educational experts and external teacher specialists to create new content and update existing content.
being responsible for managing the ongoing review and updating of existing content in accordance with a schedule.
working within a CMS to publish and manage content, including optimising SEO.
working alongside a designer to ensure content is visually appealing and user friendly.

The ideal Digital Publishing Manager will be a highly meticulous and organised publishing professional with a background in content development and creation for digital education products. Alongside excellent editorial skills you will have a flexible and creative approach, and strong problem solving and communication skills. Knowledge or experience of the latest trends and developments in EdTech / digital education would be very useful but is not essential. Being a team-player, and commercially aware will also be important, as will be having an interest in Primary education and a passion for creating products that teachers, schools and pupils will love!
