Acorn Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager for their client based in Chipping Sodbury, Bristol. Salary for this position is £33,000. Main Duties: * Responsible for all the underlying accounting entries for all the companies * Work closely with the accounts team to ensure all the work is carried out, including providing cover for holidays, including sales ledger allocations and purchase ledger payments. * To run sales ledger statements and carry out credit control. * To prepare the monthly management accounts for the group. * To prepare an annual budget and regular cash flow reports. * To liaise with the external accountants in all matters, including the preparation of the annual financial statements and corporation tax returns. * To provide financial support and management information to Company Directors. * To prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns. * To arrange for the collection of the PII aggregate excess and PII premium. * To prepare annual self-billing agreements. * Obtain signed terms and conditions for new clients as required. Skills Required: * At least five years management accounting experience including responsibility for credit control and receipt allocations. * Experience of supervising others. * Practical experience of a computerised account system, ideally Quest and Sage 200. * Experience preparing statutory accounts and ideally a part qualified accountant or qualified by experience. * Able to organise own work effectively to meet regular deadlines. * Good interpersonal skills and able to build trust rapidly with the Directors and colleagues.
