Floating Support Worker in Coventry & Warwick

Hays Social Care are looking for a Floating Support Worker who is required to travel between the Coventry and Warwick area to work on a full-time basis and willing to start immediately. This company provides multiple services to support people with different wellbeing needs including mental health and hospital support. Your new role
Your potential new role as a Floating Support Worker requires you to be a friendly, approachable, and dedicated individual. As an organisation, they believe that working together can make a real lasting impact. You will be assisting individuals are homeless or need support with housing, people with learning disabilities, complex needs, and mental health . You will be supporting them to improve their skills, quality of life and make better choices. You will be providing practical and emotional support to promote recovery and independence. We are seeking a Floating Support Worker, based in Coventry or Warwickshire. You must be willing to work 30-40 hours a week, be flexible and ideally be able to start immediately. This role requires you to be a full licenced driver.
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role as a Support Worker you must be motivated, patient, diligent and have a commitment to your role and the service users you come into contact with. You should be able to help residents reach their personal goals and support them in learning everyday tasks. You should be able to advise the residents on choices and how to migrate into society smoothly with the necessary skills. You will need to have excellent inter-personal skills and previous experience in a similar setting. You will have to have a strong people focus and an understanding of issues faced by vulnerable people in difficult situations. You will be required to work alongside other colleagues, professionals and service users. You must have evidence of experience in the social care sector, alongside your references and an updated DBS. The ideal candidate will be passionate and eager to make a difference to people’s lives.
