This person will serve a pivotal role in financial planning and decision support, working across all departments to provide a wide range of financial and decision support information to senior management. The responsibilities will include the oversight and preparation of budgets, forecasts, month-end reporting and analysis, operational and management reporting, trend analysis, and ad hoc analysis to support management decision-making. He or she will review actuals vs. forecasts, investigate material variances, develop tools for improving the forecasting and actual results and roll them out to the executive and management team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong Financial & Accounting background, have a good understanding of overall business operations and will enjoy working on very complex and critical projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Planning process – Direct the compilation of the plans and present analyses of forecasted amounts in relation to actual results and previous forecasts, and expectations. Highlight and understand major assumptions and their effects on the budget/forecast. Perform sensitivity analyses to assess reasonable range of outcomes.
Financial modeling – Prepare comprehensive financial models with an integrated set of financial statements, assumptions (such as revenue, margins, SG&A spend, working capital requirements and cash) that align to KPI metrics. Analyze past results and future outcomes in conjunction with market analyses to develop recommendations for changes in model assumptions. Perform sensitivity analyses to assess reasonable range of outcomes.
Financial analysis and reporting- Present analyses on the businesses actual results, forecasts and trends. Develop and maintain reports to be shared with Senior leadership highlighting key metrics and variances to previous forecast along with key opportunities and risks. Trends must also be identified, often by thorough data analysis. Expectation for this individual to identify cost savings opportunities for the Company. Financial analysis also encompasses leveraging tools to quickly access data and present meaningful, concise information.
Business analysis – analyses to support in depth under standing of the core contributors of the product and service structured business model in order to assist key management decisions to maximize financial performance. This level of analysis is needed to support in depth understanding of indirect costs including shared costs amongst the UK Aviation and General automation divisions.
Process improvement – Continuously develop systems and processes. Evaluate current processes, identify best practices, develop plans to reach goals and implement improvements.
Project support and ad hoc requests – Projects may include return on investment analyses for major projects and other financial analysis.
Functional support and ad hoc requests – Projects and other analysis as required by Functional Organizations, examples such as Operations, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Facilities, Contracts, Engineering.

Experience within manufacturing and distribution industries involving international footprints
