About us:

We are looking for someone to join our dynamic finance team to manage the statutory accounts process in several jurisdictions around the world. Dyson has appointed a global compliance outsourcing partner to ensure compliance with its accounting, tax and secretarial obligations. This role will have responsibility for being a key contact for the global compliance outsourcing partner, local statutory auditors and Dyson internal finance and tax teams. We are looking for someone has project management experience, strong technical accounting knowledge and enjoys communicating with a wide range of different teams and people.

About the role:

Planning the year end timetable through to the signing of the local statutory accounts. This includes:
Liaising with the Dyson financial shared service centre, Dyson international tax team, local auditors and the global compliance outsourcer to organise their time and requests into the timetable;
Planning, arranging and leading local planning calls with the key stakeholders involved with the accounts, audit and tax process for each jurisdiction;
Working with the outsourcer to ensure deadlines and users are up to date within the workflow;
Liaising with the Dyson financial shared service centre and ensuring their teams are prepared for the audit and accounts process; and
Communicating the plan to key stakeholders.
Being a key point of contact for the global outsourcer, Dyson financial shared service centre, and Dyson tax teams, ensuring all tasks are being completed in line with the agreed timetable, including escalating issues where necessary.
Communication of the global compliance status to key stakeholders within the business on a regular basis.
Assisting the Dyson financial shared service centre with queries from the global outsourcer and local auditor, where required.
Assist with bringing new jurisdictions into the global compliance outsourcing model as required.
Adapt, re-plan and manage any changes to the timeline.
Liaise with global outsourcer with any scope changes to the contracts and manage overall fees on an ongoing basis. Perform the intercompany recharges of fees
Consistently challenge both the external provider and internal teams to refine the process and produce greater efficiency
Manage the signing process for local statutory accounts, including co-ordination with the statutory Directors, local auditors and obtaining company secretarial guidance from the outsourcer’s central team
Liaise with internal tax teams to manage a smooth process for tax filing and transfer pricing adjustments.

Ad hoc tasks

Contribute to accounting, system and compliance finance projects as required.
Update and advise on internal accounting policies.

About You:

You will be a qualified accountant (with 3 years post qualification experience) with statutory experience ideally from a practice background, with strong technical knowledge and strong project management and planning skills.
Excellent project management skills.
Strong organisation skills and thorough attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise effectively and manage a number of concurrent deadlines.
Proactive and able to quickly grasp issues, with a mindset to drive change and improvements.
Strong communication skills and experience with communicating financial information to a range of audiences.
Knowledge of the process for preparing and signing Financial Statements.
Desirable Competencies:
Experience of managing accounts/audit processes in multiple jurisdictions
Experience of working in an international Group environment
Experience with our financial systems – S4 HANA and OneStream
Awareness of corporate tax issues
