Head of HR (Agile Homeworking)

Yorkshire (Agile Homeworking)

£67,671 per annum

We can’t help but feel we’ve clicked already, but you’ll want to find out more to see if you really want to ‘swipe right’, as they say.

If you’re looking for a HR leadership role with a bit of a difference and feel ready to take on your next challenge, then maybe this role is what you’ve been looking for. Here’s three things we think you should know:

  • You’ll be a big part of shaping and driving the future of our client with loads of scope and support for new ideas, innovation and progress.
  • You can work where, when and how you want with their hub, home, roam approach. No need to pick a job you can commute to over the one you really want.
  • It’s a role with meaning, so you’ll be making a real difference to thousands of customers’ lives with what you do.

So, what’s this Head of HR role all about then?

Our client’s brand-new Head of HR will take forward their People and Culture strategy, making sure we’ve got the right people processes, systems and professional partnering in place to give their colleagues and managers a great experience of working with them. You’ll work right across the business to help embed their flexible ways of working, making sure change programmes and people plans reflect their culture and aims.

They’re looking for someone with a passion for finding innovative people solutions and thinking differently about the role HR plays in supporting the business to deliver its goals. You’ll come with bags of experience of leading and inspiring HR teams, you’ll know what it takes to influence and connect with people at all levels. You’ll be a fantastic collaborator, working with senior stakeholders across the business and externally, building trust and influencing business plans and outcomes.

You’ll build capability across the HR function to give solutions and expert advice, and build manager confidence and capability around people management, engagement, ER, performance, talent, succession and recruitment, to name a few. Alongside this, you’ll be delivering our diversity and inclusion commitments, helping us become a truly inclusive employer and finding new ways to use people data to inform good business decisions.

You’ll already be a successful senior manager in a People or HR function, perhaps with an itch to find a new challenge or you’re looking for an organisation with a social purpose and people at its heart. If this sounds like you, then maybe we’re made for each other…

And what about our client?

You might think of them as ‘just’ a housing provider, but they’re so much more than that. Yes, they own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they’re proud to call home, but they’re also all about making a positive difference in people’s lives. They are transforming our business by investing in people, processes and technology to deliver a consistently great experience for their customers and create a brilliant offer for their colleagues. This role is one of a group of new leadership opportunities that have been created to make this happen.

Pssst. One of their values is ‘Be Yourself’. They’re passionate about inclusion and they’d love to hear from people from diverse backgrounds for this role.

The finer print

Although this role is an agile homeworking position, you’ll be comfortable travelling to and within Yorkshire as required for the role.
