Our Head of IT and Infrastructure will provide strategic leadership on how ActionAid UK manages its information and technology assets.

They will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation maximises the value of information and communication technology in support of the delivery of its strategic aims.

An important focus of this role will be to work closely with ActionAid IT users to identify potential solutions to current and future needs, by ensuring that the organisation’s infrastructure evolves and develops accordingly.

We will look to you to build, promote and maintain a technological environment which supports and encourages collaboration, communication and knowledge management.

In order to succeed within this role, it is essential that all applicants have a proven experience in developing and implementing data, IT and web strategies, to meet business needs.

They must also be able to demonstrate the ability to identify and deploy new technologies to support business needs.

This is a fantastic role, which will offer the successful applicant the chance to manage and direct our outsourced IT service provider.

A key focus of this is to lead the IT Servicer provider as they work to ensure that IT systems are robust with good service levels and that down time is minimised.

It is also the responsibility of the Head of IT and Infrastructure to ensure that the IT team consistently offers a high measurable level of service.

You will be an important part of an already established team and you will have the flexibility and the space to shape this role and the future of ActionAid UK’s IT Services.

This role is being offered on a 21 hour per week basis and you will have the flexibility to work those hours in a way which suits you – we are keen on promoting self-care and a good work/life balance.
The salary is up to £47,155 per annum which equates to £28,293 pro rata.

This role could be carried out at our London office or our Chard, Somerset office.
