If so, our high profile client is looking to recruit a strong HR Business Partner to report into the Head of HR and help to formulate and apply new & dynamic strategies to improve the recruitment function with a particular focus in the early months of the role on improving retention levels of the shop floor workforce.
Purpose of role:
Deliver the Recruitment & People strategy within allocated department through both an operational and strategic perspective, to ensure that they recruit, develop and retain their workforce. Drive continued improvement through leadership, management and development of the People function to deliver organisational development & business performance.
This role will work closely with the DC HR team, Recruitment Department, Shift & Operational Managers.
•Build and develop key relationships within the business, providing an information resource for managers.
•Implement the recruitment strategy in line with the organisational plans, ensuring that they support the needs of the business but are also flexible to cope with organisational changes, as and when they occur.
•Work as part of the Senior HR Team to develop and deliver workforce and organisational strategies and solutions.
Attraction & Resourcing:
•Responsibility for all DC recruitment.
•Lead and drive the recruitment strategy within DC ensuring that processes are followed and implemented.
•Manage and track the ‘refer-a-friend’ project and internal recruitment process for DC.
•Understand the roles within the DC Department to ensure the recruitment process attracts the best candidates in the market.
•Develop the Employer brand.
•Design and carry out DC assessment days.
•Ensure all candidates receive feedback from their assessment.
•Ensure with the Head of Recruitment that the internal process for internal applications is followed.
Develop & Grow:
•Carry out and manage the induction process within DC.
•Monitor and track all new starters within DC to ensure that inductions, reviews and probationary periods are carried out by managers. Send information to DC & Transport HRBP on a monthly basis.
•Carry out ad hoc training programmes as and when required.
•Carry out exit interviews with DC leavers – collating all information and feedback to manager & DC & Transport HRBP on a monthly basis. Implementing strategies and suggestions for reducing turnover.
Retain & Reward:
•Oversee DC’s benefit process.
•Work with managers to advise and drive financial and non-financial incentives ensuring fair and transparent approach is adopted – discuss with DC & Transport HRBP.
•Ensure that all depts. are adopting the same approach and ensure consistency.
•Provide information and reports on data such as employee turnover, exit interview information with action plans to address retention issues, sickness absence to DC & Transport HRBP. Be an active driver in reducing turnover.
•Run and manage monthly listening groups with employees – ensuring listening groups are being held with colleagues with follow up and communications.
•All comms boards to be updated including DC.
This role will suit someone looking for immediate opportunities or an applicant with a short or even no notice period, as the Company wants this process to begin asap. FMCG background would be beneficial but is not essential.
The role is based at one site and does not include any travel. Working hours will be weekdays with some occasional requirement to work across another shift pattern to meet with and engage management and workers on these other work shift patterns.
CIPD Level 5 is the minimum level required to be considered for this position.
