Temp HR Officer role – Pay and Reward – Start ASAP – 18/hour + holiday – Birmingham City Council Your new company Birmingham City Council is Europe’s largest Local Authorities. Their Human Resources team works tirelessly to ensure that all of their staff are supported and thrive within their work place.

As a result of a large project, we are currently recruiting for a temporary Human Resources (HR) Officer to join their Pay and Rewards Team. If you’re looking for a role which will give you excellent exposure to the technical side of a large HR department, this could be the role for you. Your new role As HR Officer, you will be supporting the Pay and Rewards Team lead to collect related data across the organisation.

You will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that information is requested, received, analysed and reported on efficiently and accurately. You will be using Sap and then Oracle to access data and then excel to run analytics using V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables and potentially Macros.

You will then be writing reports to present your findings to senior management and the board. What you’ll need to succeed To be considered for this HR Offices role, you must be proactive and work with autonomy.

Previous experience within Pay and Rewards is desirable, specifically having experience with Terms and Conditions and/or compliance. Due to the vastness of this project, experience within a large staffed organisation is essential. You must be well versed with coordinating huge volumes of data.

You will be highly personable, proactive and confident communicator, sensitive when liaising with members of staff of varying levels of seniority and influence. You must be able to commit to a full time role. Candidates will be required to pick up laptop equipment in Birmingham prior to start date, and then visit central offices on an ad-hoc basis.

What you’ll get in return This is a full time role, working 35 hours a week flexibly between 8am-6pm. You will not be expected to work outside of these hours. This post is currently offered on a 3month contract, starting ASAP, though there may be potential to extend.

You will be provided with a laptop for this post, which has to be collected from central Birmingham. We are happy to consider candidates from outside of the Immediate Birmingham area with the caveat of laptop collection and the willingness to attend in person meetings on a monthly basis, at your own expense.

For this post we are able to offer 18/hour PAYE, plus Holiday pay. Umbrella pay type is also an option. You will be paid on a weekly basis and receive specialist support from your consultant and dedicated Candidate Care Partners.
