Have you got experience working in an HR department supporting the team with Training and supporting the Payroll department?

The main objective will be to work alongside the Senior, HR Advisor and to provide professional and operationally focused HR and Training support, to the business. To provide cover for the HR & Payroll Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the HR and Payroll Officer and HR Coordinators to ensure effective administration of all paper and electronic HR records
Ensure compliance with GDPR
Support HR &Payroll Officer with payroll administration and reports
Administer Payroll when the HR & Payroll Officer is on leave
Working with the Senior Recruiter, Hiring Manager and the HR Coordinator, take responsibility to successfully recruit allocated vacancies
Work with the HR Coordinator to ensure staff are effectively onboarded and provide advice to managers through the probation period as required
Support line managers with investigations for disciplinary/capability/ grievance hearings
Attend hearings and produce notes and draft letters for outcome (for agreement with Senior HR Advisor and/or solicitor)
Carry out exit interviews with leavers and feedback issues/ideas as required
Provide guidance and support to employees in relation to maternity/adoption/paternity leave etc.

Assist with the implementation of a company-wide training plan
Provide support and guidance to managers on training and appraisals
Work with the team to source cost effective training for the Company and ensure training
Deliver internal training if required on HR related matters

Support managers with staff absences including issues with persistent short-term absences or managing employees with long term sick absences
Work with the Senior HR Advisor and the HR and Payroll Officer to regularly report on absence information including absence levels, trends etc.
This role is based at Head Office in Southampton and offers flexible working hours. Salary is in the region of £28,000 depending on experience.
