An exciting position has arisen for a Laboratory Scientist with a background in Microbiology to work within SRUC’s Veterinary Services group, based in Central Analytical Laboratory at the Pentlands Science Park near Penicuik. The successful applicant will work as part of a small team of vets, scientists and support staff analysing pathological samples submitted to the laboratory. The work will involve analysis of microbiological samples.
Applicants will preferably be qualified to Degree level or equivalent in a suitable discipline. Previous experience of working in a busy laboratory working to UKAS ISO 17025 standard would be an advantage.
The salary will be in the region of £20,591 to £23,962 per annum.

This post is fixed term for 12 months.
