Member Services Officer (RTPI Cymru)
£30,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the RTPI deliver for its members across Wales. We are recruiting a new Member Services Officer position.
The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) champions the power of planning in creating prosperous places and vibrant communities. We represent over 27,000 members worldwide, supporting them throughout their careers. We shape planning policy, raise professional standards, and are the only body in the UK to confer Chartered status to planners, the highest professional qualification.
Based in Cardiff but working on a pan-Wales basis, the role involves supporting the delivery of projects, managing volunteers, event and award management, and providing administrative support for RTPI Cymru.
This is an opportunity to join a growing team at an important time for the profession and the institute. You will support the Director for Wales, Northern Ireland, and Planning Aid England to provide services in Wales and you will work alongside Wales’ Policy Officer and colleagues based across the UK.
You will have experience of running events or projects, experience of managing committees, and will have a strong customer service approach. The ability to work in Welsh is desirable as is experience of working in a membership organisation or with volunteers. You will be required to travel across Wales and attend occasional meetings elsewhere in the UK.
