CMD Recruitment is working to recruit a programme coordinator based in Greenwich to work on the National Citizens Service Programme

The NCS exists to engage, unite and empower young people, building their confidence so they can go out there and achieve their dreams, no matter where they’re from or what their background is.

Designed for 16-17-year-olds, NCS is a youth programme that runs every summer and autumn, during school holidays.
The experience is all about emboldening young people, by giving them the buzz of being an adult (without all the responsibilities).

On NCS, participants mix with a new crowd of people and take on exciting challenges together. The experience helps young people to develop skills that will set them up for life after school

A vacancy exists for a coordinator to work out of Greenwich, it is full time and permanent.

This role is perfect for a motivated individual with experience of working within a team environment and being a part of a project, someone who is outcomes-focused and target driven, and passionate about supporting young people

The NCS Programme Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring the day to day operational delivery of the National Citizen Service (NCS) programmes for young people across various boroughs in London.

You will ensure that team members have the tools and resources to fulfil their roles
You will ensure that all administrative duties are performed in an accurate and timely manner so that the day to day operation is not impacted upon.
You will demonstrate high-quality work ethics and safe programme delivery
You will respond quickly and effectively to critical incidents and emergencies.

Experience required

Youth-work Experience

Extensive experience of working with groups of young people (14-19) in residential, educational or outdoor settings.
Experience in working with a variety of youth programmes
Track record of dealing effectively with serious incidents and ensuring effective safeguarding under pressure.Project Management and Logistics

Experience in supporting large scale and complex projects on time including working to budget constraints.Community Engagement & Relationship Management

Proven track record of successfully working with diverse community groups.
Experience working in community engagement and advocating change in society.Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
