Randstad have an opportunity available for an experienced Policy and Performance Manager to join the growing team at Belfast Metropolitan College.

Based at the Castlereagh Campus (non City Centre) may be asked to work at the other campuses when requiredRequirements

GCSE Maths and English Grade C and above or equivalent
Degree qualified in a relevant subject
Significant experience (at least three years) in a public policy role either by working in a government or regulatory role, or a public policy role in another professional body or in the private sector.
Experience of policy planning, development, evaluation and review that facilitates decision-making, supports fundamental organisational change and drives performance improvement.Experience of providing management information and intelligence to senior management to inform and influence decision-making.
Experience of report writing for a wide range of senior stakeholders.

The Policy & Insight Manager will be responsible for managing the development of policy and research programmes, providing evidence based policy positions and coordinating the College’s advocacy work.
He/she will play a lead role in future evidence based strategic planning, monitoring and
review of College performance.
The post holder will contribute to the work of the College by having responsibility for all aspects of the portfolio of the area including responsibility for: Policy & Research; Planning & Performance, Public Affairs
and Compliance & Risk.
Develop and manage a programme of policy and insights initiatives that supports Belfast Met to grow its influence and visibility, in line with strategic aims and objectives of the College.
Develop and lead a robust approach to evaluating Belfast Met’s activities to demonstrate the impact and value of what we do.
Analyse key political, economic, social, technological, environment and legislative developments which may impact upon Belfast Met.
Develop and deliver an annual policy, research and insights calendar for the College.
Oversee development of the College’s annual strategic business planning processes and create, implement and manage a rigorous programme of performance management, demonstrating the organisation’s effectiveness to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Full Job Description is available on request
