As Portfolio Development Manager you will be responsible for portfolio development and market support activities in the UK and Ireland for the agrichems business. As a portfolio product development manager you will have development responsibilities including input into protocols, CRO selection, sourcing quotations, trial locations and managing CRO trials for registration of new products/label extensions and helping to complete the relevant sections of the registration dossiers.

As portfolio product development manager your activities will include managing market support trials, knowledge transfer both internally and externally via technical presentations and trials visits as appropriate, update of technical data for brochures and leaflets. The role comes with the autonomy to be creative and bring forward proposals to complete the objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, budget, organise, contract, and follow the field trial programs

* Prepare synthesis and technical summaries

* Prepare (with external support) the efficacy sections of the registration dossiers

* Contribute to the definitions of our product strategies

* Transfer the product know-how to internal and external customers

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Skills and experience

* Degree in applied biology, agriculture or agronomy

* Experience in field experimentation, data management and the regulatory environment

* Good knowledge of agronomy and crop protection in either conventional or biorational fields

* String background in technical/development positions within the crop protection industry with experience in the fungicide and herbicide area. Cereal fungicide experience would be preferable.

* Excellent planning and organisational skills

* Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

* Technical expertise and ability to persuade internal and external stakeholders, including customers

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ARM experience

* Output and growth-focused attitude.
