Analytical thinking, commercial savviness and forensic project management are the key attributes to this role. You will thrive in a hands-on retail environment and with your exceptional pricing expertise will work collaboratively with our Finance, Marketing and Buying & Merchandising Teams to help shape Dobbies’ promotional and pricing strategy. With our exciting new partnership with Sainsbury’s, Food and Grocery experience would be really useful.

About the role

  • Ensuring sales and margin are maximised through effective Planogram design
  • Identifying opportunities for growth through trialling new initiatives around fixtures and merchandising
  • Optimise shelf capacity based on required stock holding
  • Develop and deliver sku level merchandising plans for all stores of varying sizes and formats
  • Utilise and create planograms that compliment pre-existing merchandising guidelines
  • Identify, manage and challenge space productivity
  • Support category team with analysis of promotional and pricing data
  • Ensuring products/promotions are rolled out with the appropriate controls, training and reporting in place to ensure we can closely monitor the performance of any products/promotions and manage risks

What you’ll bring

  • Knowledge of Nielsen/Spaceman/JDA/ProSpace or other merchandising software
  • Customer understanding of food shopper missions
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • First class numerical and analytical skills with advanced Excel
