Our client, a world-leading publisher based in London, is looking to appoint a Publicity & Influencer Executive to join the PR team, working across adults and children’s non-fiction trade publishing, with a specialism in Influencer PR. The company offer flexible, hybrid working from their central London office, and an excellent salary and benefits package.
Under the supervision of the Head of PR, the role of Publicity & Influencer Executive will include planning and executing strategic, sales-driven PR campaigns, working closely with Marketing/Social Media, Editorial and Sales colleagues. Working in non-traditional areas is a big part of this role, which includes supporting the wider PR team on Influencer outreach and securing PR for Influencer led campaigns. The role would see you working on local and global campaigns across a varied portfolio. You will be responsible for working with and looking after authors across different subjects so experience with author care is key; this includes accompanying authors to interviews, assisting with events and book signings and working closely with Sales to support retailer requests.
As the successful Publicity & Influencer Executive you will ideally have demonstrable PR experience with a good track record of delivering successful PR campaigns. Experience of working with Influencers across different sectors is essential and a crucial part of the role. The ideal candidate will have a good database of press contacts, which includes national press and broadcast contacts and experience working on events and book signings. You should be experienced at creating influencer lists, reaching out and engaging with influencers across different subjects & interests and achieving successful book coverage. Excellent communication skills are a must. You should be adept at writing press releases, trade announcements and other press communications. Juggling multiple tasks at once, you should be able to remain calm under pressure and know how to prioritise. The role might suit someone currently at PR assistant level, looking to step up.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised publishing company and develop a long lasting career!
