We are recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant on behalf of our client based in the Bournville, Birmingham area. As a Purchasing Assistant you will be expected to work as a Central Inbound Co-ordinator, supporting Inventory Management during Brexit period as detailed in duties and responsibilities.

Details of a Purchasing Assistant:

·Hourly rate: £12.45
·Start date: ASAP
·Working hours: Monday – Friday 9.00 – 5.00pm (Working from Home)
·Location: Bournville
·Duration: Temporary ongoing

Duties and Responsibilities of a Purchasing Assistant:

·Supporting Inventory Management during Brexit period
·Liaising with distribution centres and department in Load Control Centre
·Feeding information to relevant parties during daily calls
·Presenting reports to the senior
·Ensuring information is kept up to date
·Supporting Logistics Planning team
·Using various applications such as SAP, INET and Microsoft Office packages.
·Organising own workload and delivering high standards
·Working to deadline and setting own priorities

Skills and Experience of a Purchasing Assistant:

·Attention to Detail
·Strong Communication Skills
·SAP Experience
·Excellent use of Excel
·Ability to work unsupervised
·Previous experience in Logistics
·Use of INET
·Use of Microsoft Office Packages
