*The role*

This is a great opportunity to join one of the most respected providers of secure mental health services in the UK. You will be part of our admissions nursing therapy team based on our Ashcombe ward, a 15-bed male inpatient ward within the recently built, state-of-the-art Dewnans Centre.

You will hold a key post in our recovery pathway, providing direct nursing care for men who have been in involved in the legal system due to their mental health needs. You will engage in a range of therapeutic interventions including dialetical behaviour therapy and cognitive analytic therapy interventions, and your work will make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable people across Devon and beyond.

*About you*

You will be a qualified registered mental health or learning disability nurse and, although it is desirable to hold qualifications in other recovery-based therapies such as dialetical behaviour therapy and cognitive analytic therapy, it is not essential.

Due to the nature of the role, all staff are required to both attend and pass a physical interventions assessment as you may be involved in managing incidents on a regular basis. This is a requirement to ensure we meet the needs of our patients and remain effective in maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all.

*Covid Vaccination Requirement*

The Government has formally announced that it intends to introduce regulations that will require most healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated (1st & 2nd dose) against COVID-19 by 1st April 2022. To achieve this the successful applicant must have had their 1st COVID-19 vaccination by 3rd February 2022. Therefore, full COVID-19 vaccination will be a condition of employment unless an individual is medically exempt. We will ask for proof of vaccination during the recruitment process.
