Social Media Partner – We Invented the Weekend

Location: Salford, M50 3AZ.Salary: Competitive.Contract: Full time, permanent.

We Invented the Weekend is one of the UKs most exciting new festivals and will launch at MediaCity and Salford Quays in September 2022. ‘We Invented the Weekend will be an ambitious and inclusive celebration of what the weekend means to us all – and will programme MediaCity and the wider Salford Quays spaces and places, with something for all ages and backgrounds.

A mostly free public festival, it will have participation at is heart and be created in partnership with the wonderful people and organisations of Salford. It will celebrate everything from creativity, sport, exploration, horticulture, volunteering, food, making, well-being, education and learning, music, performance and much more.

As such, we are looking to appoint an agency or individual, to work with the Festival Director, Festival Board and associated team members and partners, to manage social media for the festivals inaugural year.

You will be responsible for launching and managing the social media accounts for the WITW festival. Youll have previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of planning, creating and scheduling/publishing a wide range of both organic and paid social media content across all social channels.

The role has a number of staff benefits including free car parking at Salford Quays.
