The world renowned Royal Agricultural University enjoys a long established history of providing mainly HE courses which prepare graduates for managerial careers in the food, agriculture, land management, business and management and equine and real estate sectors.

Our Rural Innovation Centre is an exciting and important development for the agriculture sector – enabling the sharing of cutting-edge knowledge between those involved in agricultural production and those undertaking applied research. Based at Harnhill Manor farm, a 491 hectare site offering very different farming system situations, the Centre infrastructure includes teaching, training and event rooms, a laboratory and a machinery workshop and demonstration hall.

Acting as the Centre’s first point of contact for enquiries is just one of many responsibilities you’ll have here. Indeed, we’ll also rely on you to ensure that all materials are prepared prior to the delivery of short courses, as well as distribute marketing materials, generate certificates and documentation. When it comes to invoicing for courses, again, we’ll count on you. Helping to manage course scheduling and room booking, carrying out daily administrative procedures and accounting processes and ensuring our facilities are prepared for training and events – all are aspects of this vital support role.

As well as a good standard of education, you’ll need a professional telephone manner and the all round communication skills it takes to liaise with clients, students and instructors alike. Excellent administrative skills are essential too, as is the ability to organise and prioritise your work. Comfortable working both as part of a team and on your own initiative, you have lots of drive and determination, a strong customer focus and, of course, proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and databases.
