The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily operational requirements are met and provide an impeccable service to the customer. This person is always on ground to monitor and evaluate the performance of workers to ensure operations run seamlessly. The Supervisor is expected to highlight areas of the Warehouse that may need improvements along with identifying the training requirements of the Warehouse team. The role is to provide support to the Operations Manager

Core Duties
* Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal
* Lead, supervise, organise and motivate the warehouse team
* Develop supervisor, team leaders and warehouse operative skillset
* Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
* Monitor and develop recorded training documents for warehouse staff
* Record daily KPi’s for all departments within the warehouse operation
* Monitor individual staff performances, ensuring targets are achieved
* Resource planning to maximise efficiency and ensure operational success
* Identify areas for resourcing and recruit warehouse staff
* Develop warehouse operations systems equipment utilisation
* Overall stock management, ensuring stock is replenished into the Warehouse when there is adequate space
* Assist and make suggestions for improved warehouse layout/footprint ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and any other local legislative compliance
* Ensure compliance with local warehouse procedures assist in training staff where appropriate
* Liaise with the logistics manager, packaging requirements for the warehouse; boxes, tape, pallets etc..
* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulation
* Ensure all documentation of the following is kept up to date, daily FLT checks, weekly and annual racking checks, weekly emergency lighting test, weekly fire alarm test
* Continuous quality improvement
* Perform staff appraisals in line with company expectation
* Counsel and discipline warehouse employees where necessary
* Willingness to flex hours with regards to the requirements of role
* Holiday and sickness cover as and when required
* Assisting the operations manager where needed and appropriate
